Klang-Performance

Donnerstag 25. Juni, 20 Uhr
Dauer: etwa 45 Minuten, Eintritt frei

Ezramo: Come ho imparato a volare (How I learned how to fly)

Acoustic Performance

Thursday 25 June, 8 pm
Duration: about 45 minutes, admission free

Alessandra Eramo, born in Taranto, Italy, in 1982, has long been for the local music and international art scene a name to reckon with as “Ezramo”. One of Stuttgart’s most lively and active musicians, she skilfully explores the boundaries between art and Performance, acoustic art and theatre, video art and fine art with the utmost professionalism. She seems to feel especially comfortable in the no man’s land between the above media and genres. A regular guest at regional cultural institutions and numerous international multimedia festivals, she has earned a loyal fan following as a quirky multitasker, who often performs with her partner, Wendelin Büchler. Of course she reacts spontaneously to her venue and visitors’ prevailing moods and collaborates with VJs or practitioners of the fine arts. Her improvised live bespoke acoustic Performance Come ho imparato a volare (How I learned how to fly) tailored to Tresor - Space for Ephemeral art is dedicated to the “ephemerality” theme. To prepare for it, Ezramo recorded fly larvae during their metamorphosis and composed a piece of music from this recording. She will mix this composition live with defamiliarised field recordings of the hatched flies, thus creating a new, utterly ephemeral arrangement that can only be experienced site-specifically. Like the flies themselves, the improvised electronic acoustic music oscillates between subtle, fragile sounds and melodic passages that gradually dissipate. You’ll perk up your ears and marvel!
